How ADR Jumping Works

ADR Jumping is a vertical jump platform consisting of 2 infrared emitters and 4 receivers, designed to deliver precise and reliable jump measurements.

Its operation is simple: the system starts measuring when the infrared beam is first interrupted and stops when the beam is interrupted again.

Quick and intuitive to use — in just 3 steps, your device is ready for training, jump assessments, or objective performance evaluations:

Set Up the Units

Place the two units facing each other as parallel as possible, approximately 1 meter apart, creating the jump measurement zone.

Position Yourself Between the Platforms

Stand between the units and start your vertical jump training or testing session.

Automatically Record Your Jumps

The device detects each jump when the infrared beams are interrupted, recording every repetition automatically and accurately.

Real-Time Results

By activating ADR Jumping’s auditory feedback, you will hear the values of each jump instantly, without needing to check your phone or tablet screen.

What You Can Measure with ADR Jumping

ADR Jumping allows you to accurately record key parameters to analyze performance, progression, and fatigue in vertical jumps.

Vertical Jump Height

A fundamental indicator of both athletic performance and fatigue level. One of the most widely used variables to track progression across multiple sports disciplines.

Flight Time

Available in our mobile app, this parameter reflects the force applied in each jump and is directly related to the height achieved.

Ground Contact Time & Reactive Strength Index (RSI)

Essential metrics to evaluate the stretch-shortening cycle (SSC), i.e., the athlete’s ability to quickly transition from the eccentric to concentric phase, crucial for explosive actions.

Scientifically Validatedo Device

ADR Jumping has been validated through studies conducted by universities and sports performance professionals, confirming its accuracy, reliability, and validity in measuring vertical jumps.

Our measurement protocols have been compared with reference systems, ensuring consistent and reproducible data in both training sessions and performance evaluations.

ADR Jumping: Proven Scientific Reliability and Validity

Multiple studies have confirmed the reliability and validity of ADR Jumping for measuring vertical jump height in all its variations. This data is highly valued by the scientific community, as it allows the assessment of different athletic capacities.

Rate of Force Development (RFD)

Measures an athlete’s ability to generate force within a very short time interval. This parameter is crucial for explosive sports such as basketball, volleyball, and sprinting, enabling the design of more effective power-focused training.

Fatigue Between Sets

Analyzes how an athlete’s force production declines over multiple sets. Coaches can use this information to adjust rest periods and training intensity, optimizing performance while avoiding excessive fatigue.

Residual Fatigue

Evaluates the accumulation of fatigue from one session to the next, helping plan recovery and prevent overtraining. This indicator is essential for high-performance athletes who train multiple times per day or week.

Vertical Force–Velocity Profiles

Identify how each athlete performs in terms of force and velocity during vertical jumps. This information is vital to design personalized training, improve sport-specific performance, and monitor progress accurately over time.
